This is a non-food-critic food critique blog; which means we do not regard ourselves as culinary experts. We carry no authority when it comes to food criticism. We are not cooks, we do not work in the restaurant business, and we barely know the difference between a colander and coriander. We do, however, know what we like when it comes to food and the special little touches that can make or break your dining experience.
This is a local food blog as it will mostly deal with restaurants in and around El Segundo, CA where we live. So if you live in Peoria, Illinois, don't come here for our thoughts on the best burger in your town.
We have been to every single restaurant in town. El Segundo has more great restaurants than you can beat with a salami.
When we do travel outside our little town, we often stumble across yummy finds, which we will, of course, not forget to tell you about. The truth is - we just love to eat. There is so much about dining that we love: from the atmosphere to the service, and from the appetizers to the dessert menu - we love it all.
Food makes us happy. Really good food makes us ecstatic. When we go on vacation, half of our pictures end up being of the food we discover. So this is just a fun way for us to share our experiences - and who knows, maybe we'll help someone out there decide where to go for dinner (if so, we'd love to hear about it!).
